Firstly, let’s talk about confetti! Whether it’s petals, flax or just rice, adding confetti to your ceremony exit can make for some unforgettable photos. Ask your celebrant to gather everyone up and create a long aisle for you to walk through as newlyweds. You could even add a little kiss or dip at the end! The pure happiness that comes out in these photos is unreal, and I would highly recommend it.
Next up, creating a special moment while putting on the dress. Choose someone important in your life, maybe your mother, aunt or best friend, and take a few moments to get that dress on. Make sure you’re around a mirror so you can see each other’s reactions! This creates a beautiful slow moment between the two of you as you both realize it’s almost time.
Finally, make sure to take some intimate bride and groom portraits. Just the two of you need a section of time to catch your breath and take it all in. This could be during the last 30 minutes of your bridal party portraits, at sunset, or before the ceremony if you’re doing a first look. Sunset is my favorite option, as the lighting is perfect and it creates a break for guests during dinner. The photos always look amazing with that lighting, and you won’t feel like you’re leaving guests with nothing to do as they enjoy their meal.
I hope these tips are helpful in creating a memorable wedding day!
