10am Getting Ready
– I find what works is starting with the girls to get details shots and shot of the girls in the make up chairs (this usually needs about 1 hour ish) I will come when the Bride almost due to be in the make up chair, this gives me time with the brides maids, getting details – brides shoes, dress, jewelry ect and also a few shots of all the girls in robes before the bride goes into the make up chair
– The photographer needs only about 1/2 an hour with the groom and grooms men, hot tip is to give them the time the photographer gets there so they can be all ready to go
(most getting ready eg. putting on a tie can be posed after the fact)
– After I finish with the grooms men its back to the Bridesmaids
(remember to factor in driving in between 2 locations)
– This is time to get into the dress !
12:30pm First look
First looks are not only for fathers, anyone specials in your life could be included in this moment, planning is crucial for this so they do not turn up and see you before we set it up
-This will only take 10 minutes
1pm Ceremony
I will head off around 10-15 minutes before the ceremony starts so I can get shots of the guests
The ceremony usually goes for 20 minutes depending on the couple
1:30pm Family Photos
– Straight after the ceremony we will get a big group shot of everyone before people start wondering
– Create a list of family members you want photos with so we can efficiently get all the different family photos (send this to me prior)
2pm Bridal Portraits
– This is the time all the guests go towards the bar and snacks for a couple hours
– An alternative if you don’t want your guests to wait is to do Bridal portraits before the ceremony (this will take away from the big reveal with the groom and bride as she walks down the isle – we can do a private first look)
– 2 hours for Bridal portraits is a good time, allows for any lateness in the time line
– This is all of the bridal party
– I will scout out location prior to the day and direct everyone
– Bringing food for yourselves is a GREAT idea so you can refuel in between dinner
4pm Entrance
– The key to a great entrance is having someone to direct the guests when you are ready,
get everyone in the reception area, get your MC to make the announcement and head on in !
4:45pm Dinner
– Table by table everyone head on up, so I don’t miss any moments I’ll follow up after you
Sunset Portraits
– Depending on your times and when the sun sets, this could be a good opportunity for just the 2 of you to pop out and we can grab some sunset portraits !
5:45pm Speeches
– This time can vary depending on the amount of people you have wanting to speak
6pm Cut the cake
– Straight after speeches as you have everyone attention we can get that classic ‘cut the cake shot’
6:15pm Dessert
– Give the kitchen staff time to cut the cake up and serve the rest of dessert
6:45pm First Dance
– This is the time you show off all you practice classes !
– Adding your children can add a special element to this
– After your dance you can split and do the Parent dances
6pm PARTY TIME !
– Welcome all your guests onto the dance floor
Exit ?
– Depending on how long you have your reception area for this could be an idea
– Get all your guests to line up either side of an isle out the door
– This could include bubbles or sparklers
– Bride and Groom walk down the isle getting congratulated
